(8 Nights 9 Days)

Day 1

Srinagar Airport Pick up + Houseboat Stay

On arrival at Airport, you will be transferred to Houseboat. Day at leisure/ relax to gear up for the long trip. Shikara ride at Dal lake in the evening. Overnight at Srinagar. (In case, you wish to land early and visit the city instead, kindly intimate in advance so that we can arrange the same. INR 2500 for Sedan car, INR 3500 for Innova. Pre Tour also available) Overnight stay- Deluxe Houseboat, Dal Lake, Srinagar.

Day 2

Srinagar to Kargil via Sonmarg, short excursion to border village (7-8 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Kargil. Enroute you will cross the mystic meadows of Sonmarg, tortuous Zojila followed by Kargil War Memorial, before you finally arrive at Kargil-the gateway to Ladakh. Check in to your hotel. After some rest, by 4 pm, proceed to a nearby village, Hunderman thatu2019s on border to Pakistan (this excursion shall be done only if time permits and subjected to regulatory permissions). The villagers have changed their citizenship thrice due to war activities around the zone. Overnight at Kargil. Overnight stay- Royal Gasho/ Rangyul Resort/ Similar.

Day 3

Kargil to Leh ( 8-9 hrs)

After Breakfast, check out from Hotel, & proceed to Leh enroute visiting 30ft Long Maitreya Buddha, later visit & Lamayuru Monastery, followed by Magnetic Hill & Gurudwara Sri Pathar Sahib. Enroute also check the confluence of Indus & Zanskar river called Sangam by locals. Overnight at Leh. Overnight stay- Offbeat Residency/ Kasdar/ La Buddha / Similar, Leh.

Day 4

Leh city tour

After Breakfast, get up at your leisurely pace since you did an exhausting travel a day prior. We leave for a short city tour by 11:00AM. Visit Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. Have lunch in the market and shop around. Later in the evening, visit Thiksey Monastery, followed by Flag Down ceremony at Hall of Fame. Don’t exert your body, rest at hotel if you feel tired/discomfort at anytime during the day. Overnight at Leh. Overnight stay- Offbeat Residency/ Kasdar/ La Buddha / Similar, Leh.

Day 5

Leh to Nubra(5-6 hours)

After breakfast, proceed towards Nubra. Over the mighty Khardung-La, first up visit the Diskit Monastery. The main and unique attraction of Diskit monastery is a gigantic statue of Lord Buddha on the top of it. This famous tourist attraction is considered as one of the oldest as well as the largest Buddhist center in Ladakh. The Diskit monastery was constructed during the 14th century by Changzem Tserab Zangpo. The huge 100foot Maitreya Buddha statue inaugurated by the well-known holy priest Dalai Lama is the key attraction among a number of tourists across the globe. Travelers love to experience the magnificent view of Nubra valley from the top of the monastery where the statue is installed. Later in the evening, experience the Double Hump Bactarian Camel Safari (own cost) on the sand dunes by the breathtakingly beautiful Shyok and Nubra River. These Camels were probably abandoned here centuries ago by passing caravans and have since flourished in this terrain

Day 6

Siachen Base/ Turtuk Village

After breakfast, we proceed towards Siachen base. Reach there, click some nice pictures, spend some time hearing stories that shall give you a chill and then return back to camps at Nubra. In case of any restrictions to the zone at the time of travel, we will alternatively proceed towards Turtuk- the Land of Baltis, which was under control of Pakistan before 1971 War between the two nations. You may like to visit 16 century Mosque and Minaret, Royal house of Yabgo dynasty, Ruin palace of Pun Khar, Historic polo ground. Later return back to camps at Nubra. Only one of the above tours shall happen, the preference would be Siachen however. Overnight stay- Cold Desert Camps/ Ladakh Summer Camps, Hunder/ Nubra.

Day 7

Nubra to Pangong (via Shyok/Warila/Leh) (5-7 hours)

Leave early Morning after Breakfast, towards Spangmik/Pangong via Shyok(preferred) or Warila/Leh(backup route), the most secluded pass of the region. Be prepared for contingency of route change leading to longers hours on road. Later drive Diskit-Khalser-Agham-Warila-Sakthi-zingral-Changla-Tangste-Lukung to finally reach breathtaking Pangong Lake. Overnight at Camps. Overnight Stay: Ladakh Summer Camps, Pangong.

Day 8

Pangong to Leh (6-7 hours)

After Breakfast, check out from Camps for return journey to Leh. Enroute visit Hemis Monastery and 3-Idiots School. Overnight at Leh. Overnight stay- Offbeat Residency/ Kasdar/ La Buddha / Similar, Leh.

Day 9

Departure from Leh-Airport Drop

This is the nostalgic moment of the Tour when you have to bid adios to this beautiful place, knowing in your heart that one day you will come back here again. After early Breakfast, checkout from Hotel & get transferred to Airport for onward flight back home, but with memories of ALifetimeTrip.

Meal Plan: All Meal included

  • Most of the Hotels in Ladakh provide Extra Mattress/Roll out bed, as Extra Bed.
  • Non Indians are not permitted to travel from Pangong – Tsomorriri via Chushul/ Hanele.
  • If there is a child below 5 years traveling on the tour, do inform the tour planner so that a comparatively relaxed itinerary can be prepared for the group.
  • If the travel is scheduled for the month of June, you are advised to opt for a night halt at Manali before proceeding to Jispa. Leave Manali early morning by 4am to avoid the traffic jam at Rohtang.
  • Rooms shall be the base category rooms at all the hotels/ camps, unless specified.
  • The tourism infrastructure in Ladakh Region is not very developed and one should not expect or compare it with the standards of plains & other developed destinations, you may face scarcity of water and power in the region and so you may come across situation like water (hot) being supplied on time basis – morning & evening.
  • If you are not interested in Tented/Camp accommodation, do inform our tour planner to replace the same at planning stage to bricked ones.
  • Leh vehicles are not allowed to pick up & drop the guest at Srinagar Airport, leading to change of vehicle after coming out of Srinagar Airport.
  • In place of Scorpio/XYLO, Tavera shall be offered at Manali & Srinagar.
  • If you are departing from Srinagar airport, please check out from your Hotel atleast 3-Hours prior to Flight Departure, Srinagar Airport has very stringent Security Norms, unlike rest of India.
  • If you are looking for a twin bed at your accommodation, please inform the tour planner in advance before confirming the tour.
  • Any amendments in your arrival/ departure timings, after confirming the tour should be informed to the reservation desk, for smooth pickup and drop at the Airports.
  • Extension tours available from Manali, Srinagar and Delhi to cities like Jaipur, Agra, Shimla, Amritsar, Ambala, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Yousmarg and many more trek options available. 
  • Remember this is an adventure tour to Ladakh – an offbeat destination and not a leisure trip to Goa. You might not get food of your choice, most of the camps close by 10pm and you might have to begin quite early in the mornings. Your cooperation is highly solicited to make the tour memorable.
  • Smoking/ Drinking is not allowed during the travel hours of the day. It is not advisable for health reasons as well due to high altitude of the region.
  • We reserve the rights to rearrange the Itinerary to suit Hotel availability without changing the Total number of days at each destination & without compromising on any Services.
  • Nationals of China,Bangladesh , Pakistan, and Afghanistan those holding diplomatic / official passport shall arrange the inner line permits from Ministry of Home Affairs / External Affairs, New Delhi, we do not undertake any responsibility to arrange the same.
